To see: the Collegiata di San Bartolomeo
The Parish Church of Borgomanero was built in the Lombard style in the twelfth century and was dedicated from the outset to Saint Bartholomew. In the fifteenth century, with population growth, it was expanded into a single nave above six arches and consecrated on 12 May 1499. In the eighteenth century the wealthy local bourgeoisie financed new interventions, including the "voltone", and on 16 April 1681 the papal bull was issued elevating it to a collegiate church. Inside, works of considerable importance can be admired: the main altar made by Antonio Pini in 1680, the canvases by Morazzone, the Martyrdom of Saint Fortunatus by Michele Cusa and the Martyrdom of Saint Bartholomew by Antonio Tosi known as the Cuzzio.
